Destination Wedding Tuscany

28 July 2023

Emelie and James’ destination wedding in Tuscany at Villa il Cerretino, nestled in the Tuscan hills near Florence, was a magical and engaging experience. As wedding photographers, we had the privilege of capturing every special moment with a light and spontaneous touch.

First look:

It’s always easier, especially when photographing a destination wedding, to connect with the couple and their bridesmaids and groomsmen because everyone is more relaxed. When we arrived at Villa il Cerretino, the couple was already completely at ease with the venue. The bride was enjoying pizza with her bridesmaids, and the groom and his groomsmen were relaxing by the pool. The preparation was a succession of carefree emotions and toasts, divided between two rooms of the villa.

Emelie & James had decided to have a “first look,” a magical moment where, after getting ready, the couple meets privately before the ceremony. It provides a private space to express emotions authentically. Meeting before the ceremony helps reduce stress, relax, and focus on each other without the pressure of the guests. The “first look” gave us the opportunity to capture intimate and emotional images of the couple before they dived into the whirlwind of the day and allowed more time for couple and family photos without rushing between the ceremony and the reception.

The Ceremony:

After the first look, Emelie and James spent time with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, sharing laughter and anticipating the exciting outdoor ceremony in the villa’s courtyard. The surrounding greenery and the distant view of Florence created a charming backdrop for the most important event of the day.

The ceremony was followed by the aperitif held in the same courtyard, enriched by the beauty of the Tuscan landscape. Dinner was a triumph of delicious flavors and entertainment, with dances and songs involving both the newlyweds and the guests. The use of the drone allowed us to capture aerial shots, telling the story of the wedding from a unique and fascinating perspective.

The Dances:

After the cake cutting, the dance floor turned into a whirlwind of joy, with the couple surrounded by sparkling sparkles lit by the guests, creating a simply magical atmosphere. Every moment, from the first look to the last dance, was photographed with attention to detail and a touch of spontaneity.

Emelie and James’ destination wedding in Tuscany at Villa il Cerretino was an exciting and vibrant journey, and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to capture the beauty of this unforgettable day.
