Anna e Martin and their two days Wedding in Florence. Welcome party in the city center at Palazzo San Niccolò and the Wedding at Villa il Garofalo, Fiesole.

Welcome dinner…

Palazzo San Niccolò is located a few steps from the medieval city walls of Florence, on the road towards Piazzale Michelangelo. In the beautiful private garden are original plants like banana trees and a dance floor, which date back to the early 1900s.

We enjoyed a nice walk with Anna and Martin before the arrival of their guests. We move in the nearby of Porta San Niccolò and the Rampe del Poggi fountains.  The light was perfect, the sun reflecting on the rusty colored dress of Anna and the smiles of the couple in love helped us to take many candid photos before running at the party where everybody was relaxed and cheerful and we enjoyed a really nice aperitif party and a great icecream!

The Wedding…

Located on the Florentine slope of Fiesole, Villa il Garofalo offers a breathtaking view of the Florence historic center. It is a place of charm and full of history; it was built in the late XIII century and has been home of the Alighieri family.

We met the bride and groom some days before the wedding at the Villa and we planned together the wedding day.  We already had the chance to photograph weddings at the Villa and we know quite well his gardens and the wonderful halls. That was really useful because we had a wet wedding and the entire day had to be shot inside the venue.  Bride and groom got ready in Dante’s Manor, the wing of the Villa reserved for accommodation.  Then they moved for the ceremony in the main halls where all the guests where waiting them.

After the aperitif everyone moved in the wonderful frescoed hall where bride, groom and their guests enjoyed an amazing dinner punctuated by dozens of speeches of parents and the friends of the couple.

The dinner ended with the cake cooking show and while all the guests where enjoying the desserts the frescoed hall was completely transformed in a ballroom. Bride and groom had their first dance together, the disco lights were amazing and was really captivating to shoot photos at the couple and to all the guest that joined the party till late night.

Was definitely a different two days Florence wedding because of the rain, but the uniqueness of those two exclusive wedding venues and the cheerfulness of all the guests was gave us the opportunity to highlight the love of bride and groom and take candid and not posed photos of both parties.
