Anna e Martin and the Destination Wedding at Villa il Garofalo, Fiesole, Firenze.

The Wedding

Located on the Florentine slope of Fiesole, Villa il Garofalo offers a breathtaking view of the Florence historic center. It is a place of charm and full of history; it was built in the late XIII century and has been home of the Alighieri family.

We met the bride and groom some days before the wedding at the Villa and we planned together the wedding day.  We already had the chance to photograph weddings at the Villa and we know quite well his gardens and the wonderful halls. That was really useful because we had a wet wedding and the entire day had to be shot inside the venue.  Bride and groom got ready in Dante’s Manor, the wing of the Villa reserved for accommodation.  Then they moved for the ceremony in the main halls where all the guests where waiting them.

After the aperitif everyone moved in the wonderful frescoed hall where bride, groom and their guests enjoyed an amazing dinner punctuated by dozens of speeches of parents and the friends of the couple.

The dinner ended with the cake cooking show and while all the guests where enjoying the desserts the frescoed hall was completely transformed in a ballroom. Bride and groom had their first dance together, the disco lights were amazing and was really captivating to shoot photos at the couple and to all the guest that joined the party till late night.

Was definitely a different Destination Wedding at Villa il Garofalo at Villa il Garofalo in Florence because of the rain, but the uniqueness of those two exclusive wedding venues and the cheerfulness of all the guests was gave us the opportunity to highlight the love of bride and groom and take candid and not posed photos of both parties.
